Christmas
Well today was quite pleasant... in a very Unpleasant sort of way. Dad was drinking, Mom didn't keep her mouth shut. Everything got blown out of proportion. Completely ruined Christmas. Shane wasn't too thrilled about going over there anyways... to stay the night, I mean. But he did anyway. And then of course he's got a great reason to never want to go back. Grandpa finally came out of his hole and was able to see the baby for the second time since he was born. Didn't even get to hold him. He left when Dad started his crap. Go Dad! Then I had to literally push Mom out of the door to leave. Successfully recreating Dad's previous attempt of pushing her out the door. Only not so kindly. So yet again, the man successfully managed to ruin Christmas for Mom, the boys, Me, Shane, Grandpa, Timmy, Nancy and the family, Grandma, and finally Robert and Adair. Mom ran off to Nancy's house, I called Grandma so she could try talking to Mom... unsuccessful. And I didn't want to go to Robert and Adair's at the time because I JUST got out of the family situation and needless to say, I was a little upset. So... Dad is at home with enough fried chicken to feed an army and probably enough Vodka to drown one... How was your Christmas?

Cook rice, put in the bottom of casserole dish
Pile on the vegies (I used a frozen 32oz bag of mixed vegetables)

Saturday... already?
Ugh, I've been slackin on these blogs lately... but you can't say I've been slackin on the site as a whole. I just got finished working on the HALLOWEEN Page and finally got the Boredom Page looking something similar to decent. Lol. It's kinda been an annoying process, but it's coming together. So it's all good. Haha. No luck with the bird. He's gone. It sucks. We're stuck with Shane's bird. He just sits there and threatens you basically. He won't bite you, but he'll pretend like it. Lol.
I cut my finger making dinner tonight That sucks too. Lol. Sliced part of my thumb straight off. O well. I'm good. No big deal. The part that sucks the most about that tho... is when I go to wash my hair tonight, everything is going to get caught on it. Eh, no big deal. I'll survive.
Shane's knocked out at the moment. There's a good chance he's out for the rest of the night. He pissed me off and a hit 'em pretty good. He'll be fine... Lol. I'm just kidding. He took some Seraquil. I think that's how you spell it. It's some meds that he takes to help him sleep. Idk why he took it so early, but he did. I took one last night... bc he wanted to watch a movie. So yeah. Usually, if he watches a movie, I'm still up by the time 3 o'clock rolls around. But last night, Shit... when the lights went out, so did I. Felt good to actually sleep. Lol.
Also... We're moving!! Woohoo! Not that that's really exciting or nothing. We're just moving a couple houses down. It's older, so rent's cheaper. And at the same time, it's bigger. The only complaint I have about the whole place... well two complaints... is 1. There are no closet doors anywhere in the house. and 2... I forgot number two. Oh yeah, the walls are wood paneling... which sucks. That means that I'm basically moving right back into what I left after 15 Freakin years back in Jax. I was so happy to get out of that when we moved to the new house. I was there for 6 months, then I moved up here to South Carolina. I've been here for 4 months. So that's almost a year I made it without wood paneling... now I'm going right back to it. Waaahhhh!!! Lol. Oh well. I'll survive... I think. Eeek! Lol.
Oh, and I got an interview Monday at 12:30. Wish me luck!!! I'm not going into detail about it. Bc I don't wanna Jinx myself again like I have been doing. I'll tell you about the job AFTER I get it. I will say tho, the people that I talked to on the phone seemed really kewl. I wouldn't mind spending 9 hours straight with them Monday thru Friday. Haha. Well Idk what else to say, so I'm gunna get off here. I'll talk with ya later!

Another day at the rents...
Was spending some time at Mom's house today despite the fact that I knew Dad was drinking... wasn't such a great idea. We had the ambulance and the cops at the house bc he claimed he was trying to "drink himself to death." Go figure. I found out later that the same thing happened last night but I didn't know about it. Apparently Laura was trying to talk to him yesterday and she's the one who called them. She was trying to Baker Act him but there was no proof of what he said. So he didn't go. He went with them tonight though. He needed it. Drinking 80 proof Vodka straight for a few weeks with screw anyone up. He still had a bit of sanity left though. He'd cry anytime he saw Stryker bc he knew he couldn't hold him and he wanted to so bad. You could see it in his eyes. Uncle Michael was at the house when I got here today. He just lost his daughter recently. It was good for him to have stopped by and talk with Dad. He needed that. After he left Wayne, the guy across the street, came over to talk with Dad. I think it was a combination of all the people trying to talk sense into Dad that made him agree to leave with the cops and everyone else involved. Wayne was the one there when he left.
Stryker stayed with Robert and Adair tonight. His first night away from home. The break came just in time considering all that was going on. Shane almost couldn't leave him. I knew I couldn't have done it... that's why Shane did it :P

Letter to Hubby
I've had a realization come over me the past few days. We'll be driving and holding hands and I'm sitting there thinking about how we met, where we were and where we are now. It's been one hell of a leap from day one. Started out as just another guy messaging me on Myspace that I'll probably stop talking to in a weeks time, to my Husband and a soon-to-be Father of our child.
The other day when you were sitting on the door step smoking a cigarette I was thinking about everything we have. We don't just have a bedroom in a house owned by our parents with all of our belongings a toss up as to whether they are ours or theirs. We actually have a home. Two vehicles. Furniture, pets, appliances... we are living comfortably. Even enjoy the luxury of having computers and the internet, television, a beach right down the road... we have it good despite the small rough patches we come across. We have everything we need plus the extras and we have it because you work for it. You did all this. You messaged me. You came to my house. You invited me to South Carolina. You kissed me. You got us a home. You got our groceries. You got me pregnant (...though I'm not complaining.) You paid the bills. You dealt with my nagging from day one. Where we are now... is because of you.
I lay there on your chest at night sometimes while you're on the verge of a deep sleep and just look at you, thinking about all this. How lucky I am to have someone like you. How lucky I am that you haven't gotten irritated with me yet and just left. It's nice to feel loved. Every time I'm laying there and I move just the slightest bit your hand goes back up to my shoulder and pulls me closer to you. Depending how out of it you are you sometimes manage to mumble an "I Love You" before drifting off to sleep again.

Things to do
Well today is Monday and this week, there is quite a bit going on.
Today Shane is heading to his parents after work to go pick up a clutch for his car that he and Alex are going to be working on fixing soon.
Tomorrow is Shane's court date for going 110mph in a 55... needless to say, he hasn't been pushing his luck lately.
Wednesday Shane and I have an appointment at Baptist Hospital at the Beaches to take a tour of the area so we know what is where when the delivery time comes.
Thursday... so far Thursday looks pretty free. Maybe that will be the day the guys work on the car.
Friday... hehe. FREE Rita's Day!!! I'm soooo looking forward to that one. I Love Rita's... It's my pregnancy food J
Then Saturday is upon us again. Nothing really going on that I know of. Just waiting for Shane to get home from work, which he will probably be late like he always is... sigh.
Today the goal is to do some serious cleaning. I keep walking around seeing things that need to be done, but because I'm working on something else at the moment and I don't write them down, I forget about them until I come across it again. Obviously I'm not in those areas too often. So... here's my attempt at listing today's to do list.

Wonderous Encounters
This is going to be a short one. I just had something on my mind and figured I'd jot it down for your enjoyment or mine. Whoever gets the most out of it I guess.
Anyways, Last night Dad invited us over for dinner... again. Lol. And after dinner was ready and everyone was actually home Dad called everyone in to make a plate. He made red beans and rice with some sausage cut up in it and all kinds of nifty seasonings and what not. Well, after Shane made his plate I heard him calling me from the kitchen. "Baby... Can I EAT the bay leaf?"
*Blank Stare*
Now, before my brain even began to wonder "Why in the HELL he would ask such a stupid question?!"... it was thinking something a little different. He ACTUALLY called it a "Bay Leaf." How on earth does some self proclaimed Red Neck, born and raised in the heart of South Carolina, know what a Bay Leaf is? You ask him to hot wire a car... he'll figure it out. You ask him how many people can fit into the trunk of a 2002 Ford Taurus, he'll tell ya. You show him any amount of weed... he'll tell you how much is there down to the exact gram. Hell, he even has the guts to take a soldering gun to a circuit board. This kid couldn't cook if every single dish said nothing but "just add water," yet he knows what a Bay Leaf is.
Now don't think I'm underestimating him. I know there are a few things he has issues with... including adopting all of my nifty gadgets which I REALLY could have used today while trying to find the Social Security Office to get my name changed. I had no GPS, no radar... which is bad because if I get irritated when I can't find a place I KNOW I'm going to speed. I couldn't hook up internet and my laptop in the car to use map quest on the way because he had the power inverter... which his Dad gave us so it doesn't really count as soley mine. The rest of it I had well before we even started dating. (Yes I can share, but let sharing be my option. Don't make it mandatory!) I couldn't even listen to my iPod in the car because he had the transmitter and the power cable. He DID leave me the cell phone. I guess he figured I'd need it if I got lost...
Anyways back to the story. None the less, yes he as issues (as do I... plenty of them!) but when you can't spell "Atlantic" and pronounce "confirmation" as "com-firm-shun" and "installation" as "install-shun" and "Mustang" as "Must-ain"... then yeah. I just don't expect you to know what a Bay Leaf is. I'm sorry.
Yes I like to pick on my Husband.. but don't think he doesn't do his fair share of it. Especially when him and my Mother get together. OMG! It's living HELL! If I'm in the car and Shane shifts gears and my head jerks I have to listen to him call me a Chicken Head until I get to where we're going. And the only reason I don't hear it then is because I'm too far away to hear it... and don't think that's an accident! Between the two of them I can't live down a thing.
And Mom. Woah. That's a whole different story. A guy I was dating gave me a promise ring. I told her not to tell anybody. What did she do... she told somebody. Grandma. Two days later I get a message from my cousin congratulating me on the engagement. O.o Seriously?! Come on! (A little background here. My family is pure bred Italian.. and they LOVE to talk.) But if you think that was bad then listen to this one. The same guy who gave me that promise ring started talking about marriage. Not asking me to marry him. Just talking about it. Feeling things out I guess, seeing where we both stand on the matter. Well of course Mom finds out and again, a few days later, I got another message from the same cousin for the same thing... congratulating me on the engagement. Don't you think once is enough people?! When I found out I was pregnant... the first person I told was Mom. And you know why? Because telling her news like that is like hacking into a television station and broadcasting the news on every possible channel. So it just saved me couple phone calls...
Well I guess that's enough ranting for one day. Have fun and enjoy the rest of your day or night or pizza... and save me a slice! See ya!

What a Day...
Let's just get right to it. Shane and I had so much to do today. Now that we actually have money to take care of it and there's a chance he will be working with Dad tomorrow so we can't do it then because he will have the car and not only that, he needs to be there. It's in his name. Long story short, today was the only option.
So, first things first. Tags. We wake up at 6:30 am to be the first one to the Tax Office because we needed to get tags on Shane's car and weren't going to sit there and wait for 2 hours for our number to be called when we had B232 and the number that was just called was A053... Don't think so. So we went to the Tax Office that's supposedly at 31 Sailfish Dr E here in Atlantic Beach. Well as it turns out Sailfish Dr E and W are solely residential roads. Come to find out afterward, under the address on the site in grayed out small text it says "Unverified Listing." No Fucking Shit?! Okay. Next? 1505 Atlantic Blvd is another Tax Office. Open at 7:15am, closed at 5:45pm. We get there.. it looks closed. You know why it looks closed? Because it Freakin IS! Thanks to Martin Luther King's freakin holiday.
Alright. So no tags today. What's next on the list of things to do? Cash these checks. We go to the bank and of course it has to be closed too. So to the ATM we go. Which, with a 600 dollar check to deposit, we won't get the money til next week sometime because of the hold. So we just deposit the 100 dollar check... only we can't because I got a new Debit card and I never changed my PIN number to what my old one was so I'd remember it. There goes that idea. Fine. Money Order. We have one of those for 100 bucks. Let's go to Walmart and cash IT. We gave the woman the money order and she looked at it and just shook her head. "We can't cash these. Only Walmart Money Orders." OMG! By this time Shane is fuming. He thanks the woman after she verifies it with someone else and we walk out. Fine. The Money Order was made from a Sunoco gas station. So I get on google and find one close to where we are... Beach Blvd. So off we go in that direction. I didn't even know there was a Sunoco in Jacksonville. Apparently there's three... each one in a place I never go to. Anyhow, we get there and Shane goes in while I stay in the car surfing the net trying to figure out if that old sweet looking white car that flew by me the other night was an old Lamborghini... it wasn't. And I STILL don't know what it is. It's driving me crazy. After a few seconds Shane comes back out and I ask the obvious. "Let me guess, Sunoco doesn't cash their own Money Orders?"... Nope. They don't. Great. By this time it's 9:30am and we just say screw it and head back to the house. We stop and get gas on the way. 1.89. Only to find that the very next gas station was 1.85 and it was Shell... which I prefer over BP. So finally we get home at 10am and we remembered we forgot to drop off the rental back at Blockbusters. But screw it. It isn't due til noon and I've been out since 6:30am. It can wait. It's now 10:30am and we're back at the house.
We got up at 6:30am, drove around Jacksonville for 4 hours and accomplished absolutely NOTHING!!! So, how was your first 4 hours this morning?... or did you get the privilege of waking up at noon?
BTW, Why is there a holiday for Martin Luther King and not Malcom X?

Finally! An Update for you guys!
Well I haven't made a post since December 3rd. So here we go...
Shane and I are all settled in our new apartment that's 2 minutes from the beach. I love it. Shane and I recently went down to Polatka with Jon to his lake house for New Years where we fried cockroaches for dinner... on accident. We DIDN'T eat them!!! And they smelled really gross by the way. Uck! I guess they crawled their way in the deep fryer and died, then sunk, then got cooked... niiiice, right? Wrong. I'm haunted by that smell forever. *Shiver*
(I'm trying to think of the interesting stuff for ya...) My bird Harley flew out :( I really miss my bird. Shane and I just got home on January 5th and when we opened the door with an arm full of shit and when the door opened he got scared and flew out. And with my arms being full I didn't have the ability to shut the door and with being in the city it's impossible to find him. If we did see him and he saw us, he'd come right to us. But finding him just didn't happen. I miss him :( That was like my kid. We'd wake up in the morning and when he heard us in bed he'd fly in the room and land on the foot of the bed then walk up to us and put his head down so we'd pet him. He did this every morning. If we'd walk by him he'd fly to us and land on our head. If I was eating anything and had the plate on my lap, he'd sit there in my lap and nibble at whatever I was eating. He'd take out a little piece. Put it on my leg and eat it. When he finished it, or as in most cases... dropped it, he'd go back for another little piece. He was so sweet. If I drank something and he was on my shoulder he'd lean forward so I'd give him some. Water, Koolaid, Tea. Didn't matter. He'd drink it right out of my cup. I wish I could get him back...
That wasn't the only thing that happened on January 5th... unfortunately the bird getting out completely ruined my day. But that is also the day that Shane and I got married :) So as of today we've been married for 12 days. It sounds so puny compared to my parents 26 years of marriage. But I guess even they started off puny . Lol.
Hm, I think it was last week we went to Block Busters to rent World Tour for Shane with a gift card his parents gave us. And on the way we managed to get a nail in the tire. So Shane was out in the rain putting on a donut. And the next day took it to Sears. Thank God I got road hazard on them. I wasn't going to at first. But it was only 30 bucks more and I was already damn near 600. Why not? Haha.
As of right now we are both unemployed. Shane has got a job working with my Dad. But he can't start until next week. (Thank God it's almost here.) We just sold my laptop to his aunt. I don't use it anymore. I always use his, which he doesn't use because he loves his desktop. The only reason he even got this one (his laptop, which he paid a grand for) is so he could talk to me while he was at work through Aim. And this was before we were even dating. Sweet, huh? (I Heart My Hubby!) So anyways, that got us some money. Then we just sold a PSP off craigslist, his Step Dad sent us some money to help out, a friend of his sent us money in advance for a computer Shane is going to send him, plus Shane finally got a check in for some work he did for his Dad's company. So we are able to pay bills... and that was worrying me. A Lot! Funny how things work out that way. Now I just need to get ME a job. I'm studying this book for the Post Office. Ugh. I'm not looking forward to taking this test... but if I get in, that's 20 bucks an hour. I say it's worth it.
As of right now, I'm sitting on my couch relaxing and typing up this blog because I haven't posted one in a while. Just to give you guys an update. If you ask about when the baby's due... I can't tell you that. I don't even know yet. I'm still waiting for Medicaid to go through so I can go get checked out. It's taking forever and I WANNA SEE MY ULTRASOUND!!! In any case, I'm gunna jump off here and head to bed. I'm tired. Later guys!
