Well, here I am. At work at 2 in the morning... actually I got to work late. 2:23... sucks ass!!! I can't believe I did that. Shane tried waking me up this morning too. Only usually when he wakes me up he tells me, oh its 12:30... and it's really only 12:15 or something. So that was reason #1 I blame him. And reason #2 I blame him is because my alarm went off... and instead of hitting snooze so it can go off again, he just turns if off completely. Can we say DUMB ASS?! And, no, I don't really blame him. It's my own fault... I do wish he would have hit snooze tho. That would have helped a LOT. That's not the first time he turned off the alarm tho, instead of hitting snooze. But the other time I miraculously got up in time. Even tho I didn't get out of bed until 1:18 and I have to leave the house at 1:30. And damn did I have a lot I needed to do before work that morning. Ugh. O well, it happens. What can you do about it now?
Anyhow, Shanes birthday was yesterday. I made him a cake Friday while he was at work and hid it in the oven. He don't ever cook, so I knew he'd never find it. Haha. So I took it out Saturday morning with a card and a note I wrote for him. The note basically said that there were three things I wanted to get him and he could pick what it was he wanted and we could go from there. He ended up getting 2 new knifes... which is what I thought he would pick. (I'm just that good.) There is this booth at the flea market with these two old guys and their son, I guess. Well, the son of one of them, not both of them. Haha. But we always buy from them. They have some awesome stuff. I love it. Shane's like a kid in a candy shop when he goes to that place. So we went there and got him his knifes. And before we left we bought two little hamsters. (So cute!) Two females. We bought one, then Shane felt bad for leaving the other one (there were only two in that tank) so we bought her too! Then hit up the pet store for bedding, food, water and a dish on the way home. We already had the tank, Thank God! I love animals. Haha. So now we've got 4 fish (started out with 9, but we bought like 8 babies and 5 of them died), one bird (started out with 2, but one flew away), and now two hamsters (hopefully we'll end up keeping them both. haha). I still want a cat... and I'd LOVE to have a dog... but it's kinda hard with where we're living.
Alright, I just kinda took a break and was talking to Devin, a guy who works here as a supervisor. Was showing him virtually everything that's on my computer. Haha, Which is why it's now 3:54am and not 2:23 anymore. Woo! Yay for company at early morning boring hours! I'm surprised I didn't bore the hell out of him, but then again, he's bored too. So I guess this torture is better than nothing at all, right? Haha. Ah, well, I feel like my headache is coming back... I had one all day yesterday. Sucked, but it's getting to be better. Ya know what? Today doesn't even feel like a Monday... I mean a Sunday. Lol. It feels like it IS a Monday. See? I'm all kinds of Fucked up right now. Ugh, this is what happens when you wake up late for work, blame it on your boyfriend, and don't get as much sleep as you should... not that I didn't try. I mean YOU try going to bed at 5pm... you just CAN'T do it unless you are worn the Fuck out... which I wasn't.
Blah, oh. Another thing about work... flys. They are mean. You know in Florida, the flyies are around you and it annoys you... well don't complain too much. Because in South Carolina, those flies arn't just around you, they are VERY people friendly. And they will buzz around your ear, constantly sit on you no matter how many times you swat them away. I swear these flies are from Iraq. They have the same mentality. "Do, or die trying." The ONLY way to stop them is to kill them. Take out your handy dandy Fly Swatter!!! (Blues Clues... you know you remember it.) Ugh, Damn flies. I hope this one lands in some poison residue... after all, from what I hear, this plant I'm "sercuring" DOES have a chemical part to it. Hehe.
Woo! Action. Looks like someone is reporting for duty! Yes, this is exciting for me. Working the 2am to 10am shift is as boring as boring can get. You get a truck that comes in and your like "YES!!! OMG! This is sooo AWESOME!!" Then you realize who the driver is and your like "SHIT! Go back home Mother Fucker!" Lol. You might not understand where I'm coming from on that one, so let me explain. Working here (former Georgia Pacific plant, currently Roseburg) the main part of my job is to weigh in the trucks that come in and out. You have two types of trucks. You have shaving trucks, that mainly bring in sawdust, and shavings... once in a while you'll get one bringing in plytrim. (Fuck this Damn fly) Then you've got your flat beds. They come in and go to shipping to get loaded with plyboard. That's what this plant makes with the sawdust and shavings, plyboard. So the shaving trucks go into the recieving area, to deliver. Common sense. So, that being said, back to weighing the trucks. You don't just weigh them, record it, and send them on their way... that would be too easy. You have to actually meet the trucker. Now, they have some good guys here. Don't get me wrong. Doc, Jason, Woody, Jim, Preacher man (yes, he's a truck driving preacher)... those are the good guys. But then you got the truckers that love to come in with an attitude. Fortunately I don't get too many bad apples coming in... I kill them with kindness. Haha. I just play up on my innocense and make them feel bad. But most of the time I hear the stories associated with a particular driver and when he comes in I kinda dread it. Hoping he won't have a similar incident on MY shift. Lol. But... that's the short version of the story. The long version includes how I ony brought one drink and it's 4:13 and that drink is now gone. 5 hours and 45 minutes more to go.
-Staring at my finger nails... wondering why my right index finger nail looks lopsided. 4:18am
-Eyes are getting heavy bc there's nothing to do or write. 4:19am
-Wishing I was at home where I at least have laundry to do. 4:20am
-Just finished rereading my entry... 4:27am
-Just finished reading the last four lines. 4:28am
-Laughing, bc I know you just went and counted back four lines. 4:29am
-Waiting for it to turn 4:30. YES! 4:30am
-Watching the blinking light on the phone for Line #1. 4:31am
-Listening to the LOUD train while praying it would hit something hard. 4:32am
-Thinking that I should change my mind, bc the train would then stop me from getting home. 4:33am
-Man in a white hardhat reporting for duty, also 4:33am
-Still watching the blinking light on Line #1. 4:34
-Wishing I had a busier job. 4:35am
-Reread the last 13 lines. 4:36am
-Thinking about how you are probably trying to prevent yourself from counting back again. 4:37am
-This is line #16. I did this to prevent you from future cases of insanity. 4:38am
-Can't help but notice the blinking light out the corner of my eye. 4:39am
-Just realised I forgot to add "am" to the time 6 lines up. 4:40am
-Go ahead. Check it. You know your going to anyway (Raye) 4:41am
-Trying to determine if three dots, or her name in parenthesis is more appropriate for the above line. 4:42am
-Mad, because the above line is longer than the rest of the lines. 4:43am
-Happy, because the digits are all the same. 4:44am (TEXT!)
-Wondering how may of you are confused by the "(TEXT!)" on the above line. 4:45am
-You can stop wondering now. It's an inside joke. 4:46am
-Company!!! 4:47am... be back when he leaves.
-He leaves. 5:54am
We watched some Jeff Dumham videos on my laptop and then started watching Final Destination. But he just left to check up on stuff. Blah. O well. It certianly did make the time go by tho. Company on this shift is nice. Lol. As you can tell by my list that you just finished reading. Well, at least it's a weekend. So I can wear demin pants. Just not all the time. So that's cool. Toni is releaving me at 10am. She is my supervisor. So maybe she'll be in denim too so I won't feel too bad for wearing them today. Lol. But keep in mind I was running to get out the door in time. So it was an easy fix to the whole... 'no clothes on' issue. Ugh, I can't belive I was late today. You have no idea how bad I felt for that. It's me second day on my own and I was 23 minutes late. I was going 80 the whole way to get here on time tho. Even tho I was already late when he called me this morning. It did kinda tick me off that he called me right at 2 instead of waiting like 5 or 10 minutes. I mean what if I was already on my way and he called the house and woke Shane up? That's stupid. But, I WAS running late, so the call did help me get there sooner. I still can't belive I did that. I still can't belive Shane turned off my alarm tho instead of hitting snooze. That's going to bug me. It's not his fault, I can't blame him... but DAMN. Lol. Ugh, oh well, what can you do about it now, right? Appologize and prevent it from happening again. That's about it.
Why do people come in here in nice cars and park them all the way in the back? You'd think they'd park them next to the security officer (Me!) so they (I) can see them. Oh well, sucks to be them I guess. After all, he drives a Mustang. So if he parks it next to mine, his car might be intimidated and move back there anyways. Haha. I'm just kidding. He's got a new one. Mine's an 02.
Man, I wanna go home and play with my new hamsters! I kinda felt bad when we got those yesterday. I mean it was Shane's birthday. There was a bird there. She was so sweet. She was a 3 month old cockatiel. Shane wanted her, but she was 50 bucks. No thanks! Lol. We were tempted tho. I will admit that one. She was grey white and yellow. She even looked sweet. Russel said that he's got another one heading our way once he can get it. I'm not sure what it is that he's waiting on, but he's got us another one. (Woo! Another person coming to work. White Cherokee. It's sad I mention that, but it's action! Oo another one. White Explorer... playing loud rap music.. he just opened the door. I know because the music got louder. Lol) Anyways, back to the pets. Yeah, we got another bird coming, what kind it is... no idea. Lol. Our fishies, another one died yesterday morning. Actually it might have been Friday afternoon. But in any case we're down to 4 total now. 3 babies and 1 big one. We saw some huge fish up there at the flea market too. Getting one of those would be kinda kewl too, but I wanted to use that extra tank for a hamster, not more fish. I was determined to get something furry! Lol. Shane's hamster is white and it has red eyes. The hair is longer than the hair on mine. (another blue pick up, reporting for duty, along with a gold ranger) Mine is grey and has short neat hair. But his eyes are large and black. Not small and beady like Shane's. His will actuall stay with you more so than mine will. Mine gets either figity or nervous. Probably a bit of both. Either way, the bird is scared shitless of them. Haha. Last time I brought one close to it she flew across the room... well, about as good as she can fly with clipped wings. Lol (another white truck... tailgate down. Didn't they say that make has mileage worse? Another ugly goldish brow car, and another car, and an old chevy truck. Yeah, it's getting close to the time for a shift change.)
Alrighty, well, its about time for me to turn this thing off and sit here and be bored. I wish I could stay on this thing (my laptop) during the day, but ya know. It's not professional. Lol. Okay, so I'm off. See ya!
